Flanges are used in pairs, threaded flanges can be used for low pressure pipes, welded flanges are used for pressures above 4 kg. Put a gasket between the two flannels and bolt them down. Flanges at different pressures have different thicknesses, and they use different bolts. Pumps and valves, when connected to pipes, are also made into the corresponding flange shape, also known as flange connection.
